Russian forces attack civil protection vehicle in Kramatorsk, one injured
Russian forces targeted a vehicle belonging to Kramatorsk City Council's Civil Protection Department with an FPV drone on June 1, injuring one person.
Oleksandr Honcharenko, head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration, announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"Today, an enemy FPV drone struck an official vehicle of the Civil Protection Department of the Kramatorsk City Council," Honcharenko said.
He stressed that the attack was deliberate.
"This was neither an accident nor a mistake. The vehicle carried clearly visible markings and inscriptions that unequivocally identified it as belonging to a civilian service. Civilian vehicles were parked nearby," he said.
Honcharenko noted that Civil Protection Department personnel are often among the first responders to arrive at the scene of Russian attacks. They help eliminate the consequences of strikes, coordinate emergency services, and assist residents during emergencies.
According to preliminary information released by the Kramatorsk City Council, a man born in 1966 was injured in the attack.
Earlier reports said that two people were wounded in Russia's drone strikes on the Kramatorsk city territorial community on May 26.
