Russian strike on farm in Chernihiv region kills one person, injures another

In the Korop community of Ukraine’s Chernihiv region, a farm worker was killed and a tractor driver wounded as a result of Russian attacks.

Head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration Oleksandr Seliverstov reported this on Facebook.

According to the report, between 08:10 and 08:15 today, Russian forces struck the village of Lukniv in the Korop community. The type of weapon used is still being determined.

The attack caused destruction at local agricultural enterprises, including a pig farm and a cattle farm.

“Tragically, the attack claimed a life – a female employee of the pig farm, born in 1976, was killed. In addition, a tractor driver employed by the enterprise, born in 1986, sustained severe head injuries,” the statement said.

The injured man is reportedly being transported in critical condition to the Chernihiv Regional Hospital.

The full extent of the damage and consequences of the strike are still being assessed.

As reported earlier, destruction and damage were also recorded in Chernihiv and neighboring communities following an overnight Russian drone attack.
