Woman killed, five wounded after Russian bomb strikes high-rise in Druzhkivka
Russian forces dropped an aerial bomb on a multi-story residential building in Druzhkivka, killing one woman and injuring five other civilians.
The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“On May 24, 2026, at 18:26, Russian troops shelled Druzhkivka. A FAB-250 aerial bomb equipped with a UMPK guidance kit struck an apartment building. As of now, a 70-year-old woman has been confirmed dead. A man and four women aged 40, 44, 45, 69, and 73 sustained blast injuries,” the statement said.
The Prosecutor’s Office added that the final consequences of the airstrike are still being determined.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime under Part 2 of Article 438 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.
As reported earlier, Russian drones struck two locations in Kharkiv on Sunday.
