Massive Russian attack causes damage in all districts of Kyiv – Klitschko
Damage was recorded in every district of the city following the large-scale attack on the capital.
According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this on Telegram.
"As of 05:30 on May 24, 13 people are known to have been injured — seven were hospitalized, while six received medical assistance on site. According to preliminary information, one person was killed," he wrote.
In the Darnytskyi district, debris from drones and missiles damaged a dormitory building, several non-residential premises, a vehicle repair station, and cars parked near a residential building.
In the Obolonskyi district, a drone struck a one-story private residential building. Another drone strike near a three-story residential building caused a fire in an open area. In the same district, another strike caused a fire in a 16-story residential building and another open-area fire that spread to a neighboring residential building.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, missile debris damaged two residential buildings and an office center, while cars in a parking lot caught fire. Fires also broke out on the grounds of two schools due to falling debris. Firefighters also extinguished a blaze on a gas pipe between residential buildings.
In the Dniprovskyi district, debris fell on the roof of a residential building. A drone strike on a private house also caused a fire. In addition, a warehouse building and a garage cooperative were damaged.
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, missile debris fell on a one-story private residential building.
In the Podilskyi district, debris also fell on the territory of non-residential buildings.
In the Holosiivskyi district, missile debris fell on the roof of a 24-story residential building.
In the Desnianskyi district, drone debris struck a supermarket and shopping center building.
In the Solomianskyi district, a drone strike on the 23rd floor of a 24-story residential building caused a fire and structural damage.
In the Pecherskyi district, a drone strike on a 20-story residential building caused a fire.
"All services are working at the sites and eliminating the consequences of the attack," the mayor emphasized.
As reported earlier, the enemy launched a massive overnight attack on Kyiv using drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles.
