Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine up by 880 over past day

The total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, through May 22, 2026, have reached approximately 1,353,860 personnel, including 880 troops killed or wounded over the past 24 hours.

According to Ukrinform, the figures were published on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As of May 22, Ukrainian defenders have also destroyed: 11,944 (+1) Russian tanks, 24,594 (+3) armored combat vehicles, 42,511 (+57) artillery systems, 1,798 (+1) multiple launch rocket systems, 1,390 (+1) air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 1,440 (+4) ground robotic systems, 304,659 (+1,872) operational-tactical drones, 4,632 cruise missiles, 33 warships/boats, 2 submarines, 98,205 (+135) vehicles and fuel tankers, 4,207 units of special equipment.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, 197 combat engagements between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded on May 21.
