Defense Forces destroy Russian Buk-M2 air defense system in Donetsk region

Soldiers of the 15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade "Black Forest" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian Buk-M2 surface-to-air missile system in the Donetsk region.

According to Ukrinform, the brigade reported this on Facebook and published a corresponding video.

"The Russian Buk-M2 burned under the Donbas sun after a direct hit by the fighters of Black Forest. Our aerial reconnaissance crew detected the launcher of the enemy Buk-M2 air defense system and later recorded the result of our comrades' strike on the target," the statement said.

The military added that "at first it seemed the launcher had only been damaged. But further observation showed that one strike was enough."

As Ukrinform reported, on the Kostiantynivka axis, fighters of the "Hyzhak" brigade destroyed a Russian tricolor flag and a Soviet Union flag that the invaders had raised as "symbols of victory."
