Air Defense Forces shoot down anti-ship missile and 130 Russian drones

Air Defense Forces shot down one anti-ship missile and 130 drones used by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine since the evening of May 14.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.

According to the military, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, the enemy attacked Ukraine with five Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from airspace over the Black Sea, one Kh-35 anti-ship missile from the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as 141 Shahed-type combat UAVs, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parody-type decoy drones from the following directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russian Federation), the temporarily occupied cities of Donetsk and Chauda, and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, air defense forces shot down or neutralized one Kh-35 anti-ship missile and 130 drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Five X-31P anti-radar missiles failed to reach their targets. Seven combat UAVs were recorded hitting six locations, and downed targets (debris) were found at seven locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of May 14, Russian forces launched a massive missile and drone strike against Ukraine. The main target of the attack was Kyiv.

In the Darnytskyi district of the capital, 18 apartments were destroyed as a result of a Russian strike on a prefabricated high-rise building.

The deaths of 24 people have been confirmed, three of whom were children. There are also reports that 48 people were injured.
