Death toll from Russia's May 4 strike on Merefa rises to nine
The number of people killed in Russia's May 4 missile strike on Merefa in the Kharkiv region has risen to nine.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Unfortunately, a man who sustained injuries during the attack died in the hospital. Doctors fought for his life until the very end," the statement said.
On May 4, Russia launched a missile strike on a service station in Merefa, Kharkiv region. Four people were killed at the scene, and four more later died in hospital. Thirty-six people were injured.
As a result of the attack, residential buildings, utility structures, shops, a food establishment, the service station premises, and vehicles were damaged.
