May 5 strike on Kramatorsk: Deputy head of district administration dies in hospital

Deputy Head of the Kramatorsk District State Administration Roman Simashov, who was injured in Russia's May 5 strike on the city, has died in hospital.

According to Ukrinform, the Kramatorsk City Council announced this on Facebook.

On May 8, at the age of 46, Simashov died as a result of the Russian attack on Kramatorsk carried out on May 5.

"Doctors fought for his life, but today it became known that Roman Shavkatovych has passed away," the statement said.

The death toll from the May 5 attack has now risen to seven.

On May 5, Russian forces struck Kramatorsk with three guided aerial bombs. At the time, six people were reported killed and 13 injured.
