Russia loses 1,120 troops in war against Ukraine over past day

The total combat losses of Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to May 4, 2026, have reached approximately 1,335,150 personnel, including 1,120 soldiers killed or wounded in action over the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to the update, Russia has also lost 11,914 (+6) tanks, 24,507 (+4) armored combat vehicles, 41,306 (+113) artillery systems, 1,767 (+2) multiple launch rocket systems, 1,357 (+0) air defense systems, 435 (+0) aircraft, 352 (+0) helicopters, 1,317 (+11) ground-based robotic systems, 272,062 (+2,249) operational-tactical UAVs, 4,584 (+5) cruise missiles, 33 (+0) ships/boats, 2 (+0) submarines, 93,824 (+268) vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,168 (+17) units of special equipment.

As of 22:00 on May 3, there were 122 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders, with the heaviest fighting recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors.
