Russian shelling in Kherson region leaves one killed, five injured

In the Kherson region, one person died and five people, including a police officer, were injured as a result of Russian attacks.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office stated this on its website, according to Ukrinform.

According to the investigation, on May 1 the Russian army shelled the Kherson region with artillery and mortars and carried out drone attacks.

As of 17:30, one person had been killed and five others injured as a result of Russian aggression.

In particular, around 06:00, Russian forces attacked a cyclist in Kherson with a drone; a 65-year-old man died at the scene.

Four more people in Kherson, including a police officer, and one person in the suburb of Antonivka were injured in drone attacks.

In addition, private and apartment buildings, a post office, a shop, and vehicles were damaged.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into war crime charges.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces attacked Kherson and its suburbs with drones, causing destruction, with one person killed and another injured.
