Ukraine confirms major refinery hits: 24 oil tanks destroyed in Tuapse
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the results of strikes carried out by Ukraine’s Defense Forces against Russian oil refineries in Tuapse and Yaroslavl.
Details were shared by the General Staff on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
In particular, following the strike on April 26 on an oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl, damage to a vacuum distillation unit has been confirmed.
Additionally, the destruction of 24 storage tanks and damage to four more has been confirmed as a result of the April 20 strike in the area of the Tuapse oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, on April 25 and during the night of April 26, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl, as well as Russian air defense assets located in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
On the night of April 20, a large-scale fire broke out at the tank farm of the Tuapse refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region following a drone attack.
The Tuapse refinery had already come under a drone attack on April 16, with the strike confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
