Ukrainian forces thwart Russian breakthrough attempt via gas pipeline on Kursk axis

On the Kursk axis, troops of Ukraine’s 71st Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Air Assault Forces, together with other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, have stopped an attempted breakthrough by Russian invaders through a gas pipeline, as well as assaults using quad bikes and motorcycles.

According to Ukrinform, the Kursk group of forces reported this on Facebook and released a corresponding video.

The Kursk group reported that the enemy attempted to infiltrate using a gas pipeline, as well as maneuvering on quad bikes and motorcycles.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the 71st Airmobile Brigade and supporting units, these attempts were detected and stopped in time.

The military reported that 35 Russian troops were killed and 17 wounded. In addition, three motorcycles and four quad bikes were destroyed.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, according to Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, an infiltration zone of Russian forces has been recorded in the border areas of Sumy region, but there has been no breakthrough deeper into Ukrainian territory.

The Joint Forces grouping also stated that Russian troops have seized several settlements directly along the Sumy region border, but all attempts to push further into Ukrainian territory are being prevented in time.
