Rescuers show how they extinguished Shostka fire under threat of further Russian attacks
In Shostka, Sumy region, rescuers from the State Emergency Service extinguished all fires caused by a Russian drone attack on the night of April 19, despite the threat of further strikes.
According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service reported this on Facebook and released a video showing the cleanup efforts following the attack.
“On the night of April 19, enemy drones attacked the city of Shostka,” the statement reads.
Private homes were hit. A large-scale fire broke out.
According to the State Emergency Service, due to the threat of further attacks, rescue workers suspended their operations and moved to a safe location.
A community rescue officer was also on the scene.
All fires have been extinguished. Preliminary reports indicate that no one was injured.
As reported by Ukrinform, on April 18, a Russian drone carried out a precision strike on a fire station in the Shostka district of Sumy region.
