Ukrainian forces thwart Russian breakthrough attempt near Chasiv Yar
Ukraine's Defense Forces have repelled a large-scale Russian attempt to break through near Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.
According to Ukrinform, the 24th Mechanized Brigade reported this on Facebook, releasing footage of the combat operation.
"The occupiers attempted a breakthrough in the sector of the 24th Brigade, deploying five armored combat vehicles, a tank, ten motorcycles, and quad bikes. Our intelligence, drones, artillery, and infantry acted in coordination. The breakthrough was thwarted. The enemy achieved no success," the statement said.
At present, it has been confirmed that Russian forces lost six personnel killed and six wounded. One armored vehicle was destroyed and another damaged, while ten motorcycles and two quad bikes were hit.
As previously reported, since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have launched more than 50 attacks on Ukrainian positions, with the heaviest fighting on the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka fronts.
