Drone attack sparks fire at oil depot in occupied Crimea
In temporarily occupied Crimea, an oil depot in the settlement of Oktiabrske is burning following a drone attack overnight on April 16. A separate fire was also recorded in the Bakhchysarai district near the TES Oil and Gas Storage facility.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Krymskii Veter (Crimean Wind), according to Ukrinform.
“In the settlement of Oktiabrske, an oil depot is burning after the overnight attack, subscribers report,” the message says.
The monitoring group of the Telegram channel also published satellite images showing the fire.
Satellite imagery also confirmed a fire in the Bakhchysarai district near the TES Oil and Gas Storage facility.
Earlier, the Telegram channel reported a series of explosions in Simferopol, Feodosia, and the Krasnoperekopsk district of the peninsula.
As reported by Ukrinform, Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a mass drone attack on Crimea overnight, and an power substation was struck in Melitopol.
