Fighting continues near Mariine: Tregubov says Russian forces have advanced into Sumy region

In the Sumy region, Russian troops have advanced near the village of Myropillia, but fighting continues in the Mariine area. The enemy has not reached Novodmytrivka.

This was reported by Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation, in a statement to Ukrinform, commenting on the operational situation in these areas.

“Regarding Myropillia—yes, there has been an advance,” he noted.

The spokesperson clarified that the enemy has not reached Novodmytrivka, and fighting continues in the Mariine area.

“Fighting is taking place in the Mariine area; it’s essentially a stalemate there,” Trehubov added.

According to DeepState, the enemy has advanced near Myropillia, Mariine, and Novodmytrivka in the Sumy region.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops have intensified their offensive operations and are attempting to expand their areas of control near the border, advancing short distances.

To preserve the lives of their personnel, Ukrainian defense forces have moved to new, prepared positions near the village of Myropillia in Sumy region, where they continue to hold their defenses.
