New remotely controlled “camouflaged” mine found in Kherson
A new type of mine has been found in Kherson; it features electronic controls and a combined-action mechanism, but appears to be a bundle of cloth.
According to Ukrinform, Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.
“A new mine has been discovered in Kherson. It looks like an object wrapped in a rag. Experts are studying its characteristics. It is already known that this mine has electronic controls and a combined action. The enemy uses it to target both people and equipment,” Shanko reported.
He noted that the self-destruction timer, if activated, is currently unknown.
It is strictly prohibited to approach the explosive object closer than 30 meters, touch it, or move it.
As reported by Ukrinform, in the temporarily occupied Kakhovka district of the Kherson region, Russian troops are blocking roads and dropping “petal mines” from drones.
