Russian drones strike snack manufacturer’s warehouse in Pavlohrad overnight
In Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region, a warehouse complex belonging to the international Star Brands group of companies was damaged as a result of an attack by Russian drones on the night of April 7.
According to Ukrinform, this information was posted on Star Brands’ Facebook page.
At around 2:20 a.m., two enemy Shahed-type drones struck the Star Brands warehouse in Pavlohrad. There were a total of five UAVs in the area, three of which were shot down. A direct hit caused a fire, and the warehouse was seriously damaged, Star Brands noted.
“This night could have turned tragic had it not been for the professionalism of the State Emergency Service and the preparedness of our team, which was taking shelter during the alarm. The rescue workers did everything possible, evacuated the employees, and began extinguishing the fire. Currently, the employees are in satisfactory condition and are safe,” Star Brands reported.
The fire has been extinguished.
According to a preliminary assessment of the extent of the damage, approximately 5,500 square meters of the warehouse complex have been damaged. An assessment of material losses is underway.
As noted by the management of the Snack Production group of companies, the logistics team is currently operating in emergency mode: a plan to reroute deliveries is being implemented to ensure that partners and customers receive their orders on time.
It is emphasized that this is not the first time the Star Brands group of companies has faced Russian attacks and destruction, but each time the team finds quick and effective solutions to support customers and restore its own operations.
