Russia loses 980 troops, two air defense systems in war against Ukraine over past day
The total combat losses of Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to April 7 2026 in the war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,305,470 personnel, including 980 over the past day.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 11,841 Russian tanks, 24,364 (+4) armored fighting vehicles, 39,562 (+65) artillery systems, 1,722 (+3) multiple rocket launchers, 1,340 (+2) anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 4,517 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 435 warplanes, 350 helicopters, 223,341 (+1,945) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 33 warships/cutters, 2 submarines, 87,862 (+248) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 4,115 (+3) pieces of special equipment.

As Ukrinform reported, on April 6, as of 22:00, there were 121 combat engagements on the front line, 25 of them in the Pokrovsk direction.
