Zelensky reviews reports from Syrskyi and Hnatov
The Russian army is currently concentrating the greatest efforts in the Oleksandrivka and Pokrovsk directions, in those sectors the Ukrainian side's resistance is strongest.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this on Telegram following a report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, according to Ukrinform.
"Report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov on the situation at the front and our operations. First – we discussed prospects in the Oleksandrivskyi and Pokrovsk directions. This is where the Russian army is currently concentrating its main efforts, and accordingly, where our counteraction is focused. I am grateful to all our units for the tangible results in destroying the occupiers," he wrote.
Zelensky noted that the report also covered Ukraine's long-range strikes and corresponding priorities.
"Ukrainian long-range sanctions are effectively reducing Russia's revenues, primarily from oil. This is evident in both the northeastern and southeastern sectors of active long-range operations," he emphasized.
The President also approved further steps for Ukraine together with the military command.
"It is important that strong Ukrainian positions at the front and in long-range capabilities also strengthen our position in diplomacy and in our relations with partners across multiple areas. This is exactly what is happening. Ukraine is defending itself and demonstrating its ability to strengthen the security of others," he added.
As Ukrinform reported, according to MI6, the situation on the front remains challenging, but according to British intelligence, it is the best it has been for Ukraine in the past 10 months.
