Russians attack Naftogaz facilities in Poltava region for third consecutive day; one employee killed
Russian invaders have been attacking facilities belonging to Naftogaz of Ukraine in the Poltava region for the third consecutive day; one company employee has been killed.
According to Ukrinform, Naftogaz of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
“It has been a very difficult week. Attacks on Naftogaz facilities in the Poltava region have been ongoing for the third day in a row,” the company stated.
“We have suffered a painful loss. Our colleague, 55-year-old Roman Chmykhun, was killed during one of the attacks. He worked as a process plant operator,” the company reported.
Naftogaz noted that this is the second employee fatality this week.
As reported by Ukrinform, on March 27, a gas production facility in the Poltava region ceased operations due to a Russian attack.
