Ukraine intercepts 130 of 153 Russian drones in overnight attack – Air Force

Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 130 out of 153 drones launched by Russian troops in an overnight attack starting on the evening of March 25.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.

From 18:00 on Wednesday, March 25, Russian forces attacked Ukraine using 153 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and other types. The drones were launched from multiple directions, including Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as Hvardiiske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. Around 100 of them were Shahed-type drones.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on Thursday, March 26, air defense systems shot down or suppressed 130 UAVs in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Hits by 16 strike drones were recorded at 11 locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell at five locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace.
