Russia loses 970 troops, one multiple launch rocket system in war against Ukraine over past day

Russia suffered approximately 1,288,850 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and March 23, 2026, with 970 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours. 

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 11,794 (+1) Russian tanks, 24,268 (+5) armored fighting vehicles, 38,662 (+24) artillery systems, 1,695 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 1,336 anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 4,468 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 435 warplanes, 350 helicopters, 192,869 (+1,999) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 33 warships/cutters, 2 submarines, 84,775 (+136) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 4,098 (+2) pieces of special equipment.
