AFU confirms strike on facility servicing Russian air defense systems in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, overnight on March 19, the innovation center of the production and technical enterprise Granit, part of the Almaz-Antey Concern, was hit. The facility services and maintains Russian air defense systems.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Navy reported this on Facebook.

The naval forces, in coordination with units of the Special Operations Forces and the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, successfully struck military targets in Sevastopol in temporarily occupied Crimea.

As a result of the operation in the Fiolent Highway area, the innovation center of the Granit enterprise, part of the Almaz-Antey Concern, was hit. This center repairs and maintains Russian air defense systems.

The concern services equipment that forms the core of the air defense "shield" of occupied Crimea. The facility most often repairs S-400 Triumf and S-300PM2 Favorit surface-to-air missile systems, 92N6E and 96L6E radar stations, medium- and short-range Buk-M2/M3 missile systems, and Tor-M2 systems.

Additionally, positions of enemy personnel in the Strelka Bay area were struck.

Casualties are being clarified.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on the night of March 19, a facility of the Almaz-Antey Concern in Sevastopol, servicing Russian air defense systems, was targeted by drones.
