Ukrainian SOF strike secret Russian Rubikon base in Donetsk
Overnight on March 18, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (SOF) conducted a series of Middle Strike operations against enemy targets in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, including a secret base of the Russian unmanned systems center Rubikon.
According to Ukrinform, the SOF command reported this on Telegram and released corresponding footage.
“In Donetsk, long-range SOF drones struck the base of the secret Russian unmanned systems center Rubikon as well as the control element for this unit. Additionally, the coordination center for enemy drone units in the occupied city was destroyed,” the statement said.
In the temporarily occupied village of Vilne, warehouses storing ammunition, equipment, and materiel, as well as the site for accumulation and distribution of munitions, were hit.
“SOF units carry out Middle Strike operations against enemy targets in occupied Ukrainian territory. Resistance Movement underground operatives contributed to the success of this series of strikes,” the SOF noted.
The Special Operations Forces continue asymmetric actions aimed at strategically weakening the enemy in the war against Ukraine.
Previously, SOF Middle Strike units conducted a series of strikes on Russian military targets in temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Zaporizhzhia region.
