Russians attack Sumy with drones, three people injured

Russian forces attacked Sumy with drones, injuring three civilians.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov.

“Today, the Russians carried out a targeted strike on the Sumy community. A drone hit the Zarichnyi district of Sumy where civilian cars were struck. A two-story residential building was also damaged,” he wrote.

According to Hryhorov, preliminary information indicated that two people had been injured.

Head of the Sumy City Military Administration Serhii Kryvosheienko later specified that three people were injured: one woman and two men.

He noted that a UAV strike was recorded in the central part of Sumy, hitting an intersection on a busy road. According to preliminary information, five cars were damaged.

Following the Russian attack, traffic restrictions were introduced in the city, the municipal company Elektroavtotrans of the Sumy City Council reported on Telegram.

“Due to technical damage to the contact network, traffic toward the airport has been restricted,” the statement reads.

As Ukrinform previously reported, 36 settlements in the Sumy region came under Russian attacks over the past day, two people were injured.
