Oil depot on fire in Krasnodar region following drone attack

In the city of Labinsk, Krasnodar region, Russia, a fire broke out at an oil depot following a drone attack.

According to Ukrinform, the BBC reported this, citing the region’s operational headquarters.

“In the industrial zone of Labinsk, a fire broke out at the oil depot as a result of a UAV attack,” the operational headquarters said in a statement.

According to official data, there are no casualties. Some Telegram channels have published footage showing a plume of fire at the site of the strike.

According to the Telegram channel Astra, the Russian military claimed to have shot down only one drone in the Krasnodar region.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the largest number of drones were allegedly shot down over the Moscow region—53 UAVs. Forty-six of them were heading toward Moscow.

In total, the ministry reported the “destruction” of 145 Ukrainian drones on the night of March 16. Of these, 38 drones were reported as destroyed over the Bryansk region. Eleven drones were allegedly intercepted over the Yaroslavl region, eight over the Kaluga region, and seven over the Smolensk region.

Between two and six drones were allegedly shot down over the Volgograd, Kostroma, Voronezh, Tver, Ulyanovsk, and Rostov regions, as well as in occupied Crimea. One each was shot down over the Krasnodar region and the Saratov region.

As reported by Ukrinform, Moscow came under drone attack on the night of March 15. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that 65 drones were shot down as they approached the Russian capital.
