Russian shelling kills elderly woman, injures man in Dnipropetrovsk region

An 87-year-old woman was killed and a 42-year-old man injured as a result of Russian shelling in two districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region on Sunday.

Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The tragedy occurred due to an enemy strike in the Troitske community of the Pavlohrad district. Two homes were destroyed there and about ten more were damaged. Rescuers recovered the body of the deceased woman from the rubble of one of the destroyed private houses," the statement said.

In the Dubovykivka community of the Synelnykove district, a bread delivery driver was injured. The man is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital and will later be transferred to the regional center for further care.

Earlier reports said that on Sunday, March 15, Russian forces attacked five districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region about 20 times throughout the day using drones, artillery, and aerial bombs, leaving four people injured.
