Drones attack Port Kavkaz and Afipsky oil refinery in Russia
Overnight on Saturday, March 14, a drone attack in Russia’s Krasnodar territory caused a fire at the Afipsky oil refinery, while a vessel was damaged at Port Kavkaz.
This was reported by the Telegram channel ASTRA, according to Ukrinform.
“An ignition occurred at the Afipsky refinery in the Seversky district due to falling UAV debris,” the regional operational headquarters said.
The fire reportedly spread to technical installations at the refinery. Emergency and specialized services are working at the scene.
In addition, according to the operational headquarters, drone debris damaged a technical vessel at Port Kavkaz in the Temryuksky district. A localized fire also broke out at the port’s berth complex. Three people were reported injured.
As previously reported, the Afipsky oil refinery had already been targeted by drone attacks on August 7 and November 29 last year.
