Russian massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv region: Death toll rises to three, five injured

Russian forces carried out a large-scale missile and drone attack on the Kyiv region, killing three people and injuring at least five others.

According to Ukrinform, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, stated this on Telegram.

"Tonight the enemy is massively attacking the Kyiv region with drones and missiles. In the Brovary district, two people were killed. Another four were injured. A dormitory building, production facilities, and warehouse premises were damaged," the statement said.

According to him, one more person was injured in the Vyshhorod district.

Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko reported that eight people were injured as a result of the missile strike.

Later, Sapozhko reported: "At the moment, we have the following updated and confirmed information regarding the victims of the enemy attack -- two people have been killed and four others have been injured."

Later, Kalashnyk reported that the number of people killed in the Kyiv region had increased to three.

“Unfortunately, the number of fatalities in the Kyiv region has risen to three. The enemy killed another person in the Vyshhorod district,” he said.

It is also noted that the consequences of the enemy attack were recorded in the Obukhiv district: a technical room of a multi-story residential building was damaged, and cars parked nearby caught fire.

In the Bucha district, a private house caught fire after being hit.

In the Vyshhorod district, warehouse facilities were engulfed in flames, and an apartment building was also damaged. One person was injured.

"All emergency services are working at the sites – rescuers, medics, and police," the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian forces launched Kalibr cruise missiles from the waters of the Black Sea and also fired air-launched missiles from strategic bombers over Russia's Volgograd region.
