Defense forces destroy Russian command posts and deployment sites in Selydove, Donetsk region
Ukrainian defenders carried out a successful operation to destroy command posts and deployment sites of Russian troops in Selydove, Donetsk region, more than 20 km from the front line and 15 km southeast of Pokrovsk.
This was reported on Facebook by the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.
The operation was carried out by paratroopers together with the Unmanned Systems Forces. The direct execution of tasks and the destruction of designated targets were ensured by operators of the Middle Strike 412th Separate Brigade of Nemesis Unmanned Systems.
The results of the operation confirmed the destruction of three important Russian army targets:
a temporary deployment point for a drone unit. It has been preliminarily established that it was used in the interests of the 76th Airborne Assault Division, which has been involved in the assault on Pokrovsk since December last year. This building served as a shelter for personnel;
the command post of the Zeus detachment of the 8th separate unmanned aerial vehicle battalion of the Russian Federation's 2nd Combined Arms Army. This building housed enemy personnel;
the temporary deployment point and command post of the 1st Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 30th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Federation. The battalion's soldiers and officers were housed in a local hotel complex.
“The destruction of these facilities significantly weakens the coordination of enemy unmanned aerial vehicle units and the command of enemy troops in the Pokrovsk agglomeration,” the Airborne Forces noted.
The scale of enemy losses in manpower is still being determined.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops are preparing to intensify their offensive in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration.
