Death toll after Russian airstrike rises to four, police report 16 injured

In Sloviansk, in the Donetsk region, the death toll from the airstrikes has increased to four, with 16 people injured.

According to Ukrinform, the Donetsk regional police stated this on Telegram.

"At least four people killed and 16 injured, including a child: police are documenting the consequences of the strike on Sloviansk," the statement said.

Law enforcement officers recalled that this morning Russian forces dropped two guided aerial bombs on residential buildings in the city center.

Among the injured is a 14-year-old child. Apartment buildings and cars were damaged. Information about the victims and destruction is being clarified, police said.

As previously reported, Russian troops shelled one of the districts of Sloviansk; earlier it was known that two people were killed and 17 injured, including a 14-year-old child.
