Air defense forces neutralize 122 of 137 drones used by Russia to attack Ukraine

Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 122 out of the 137 drones launched by Russia in attacks on Ukraine starting from the evening of March 9.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

From 18:00 on Monday, March 9, Russians attacked with 137 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other types of drones, launched from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (Russia), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 80 of them were Shahed-type drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on Tuesday, March 10, air defense shot down or suppressed 122 enemy UAVs.

Hits by 12 attack drones were recorded at 10 locations, and the fall of downed drones (debris) was recorded at 10 locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian troops struck Dnipro overnight. As a result of the strike, a multi-storey residential building was damaged and ten people were injured.
