Air Defense Forces destroy 111 Russian drones

Air Defense Forces destroyed 111 out of 141 drones used by Russian troops to attack Ukraine since the evening of March 5.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

"On the night of March 6 (from 6 p.m. on March 5), the enemy attacked with 141 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of combat UAVs from the directions of Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (the Russian Federation), Hvardiiske, Chauda (the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea), approximately 100 of them were Shahed-type," the report says.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, the Air Defense Forces shot down or suppressed 111 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other UAVs in the north, south, and east of the country.

Twenty-four combat UAVs hit 16 locations, as well as falling at one location.

The attack continues, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops lost 950 invaders and one helicopter in a day in the war against Ukraine.
