War update: 118 combat clashes on front line over past day, Pokrovsk direction remains most active
Over the past day, March 4, 118 combat clashes between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders were recorded on the front line.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
The enemy launched three missile strikes using three missiles and carried out 85 airstrikes, dropping 238 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces used 9,054 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,407 shelling attacks, including 61 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Russian army carried out airstrikes in the areas of Oleksandrohrad, Havrylivka, Kolomyitsi, Pysantsi, Vozdvyzhivka, Hirke, Rivne, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Kopani, and Svitla Dolyna.
Aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck three command posts, eight areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, and three Russian artillery systems.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 124 shelling attacks, including four using MLRS, and also launched four airstrikes with 11 guided aerial bombs. Two combat clashes were recorded during the day.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, Russian forces attempted once to break through defensive lines near Hrafske.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked three times in the areas of Pishchane, Kurylivka, and Kivsharivka.
In the Lyman direction, the invaders attacked three times, attempting to penetrate the defense near Drobysheve, Zarichne, and Stavky.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped six Russian attempts to advance near Dronivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Riznykivka, and Yampil.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops attacked toward Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bondarne, and Mykolaivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 15 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped 22 assault actions by the Russian army near Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, and toward Chervonyi Lyman.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked seven times near Ivanivka, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Novohryhorivka, Zelenyi Hai, Krasnohirsk, Zlahoda, and Ternove.
In the Huliaipole direction, 14 Russian attacks took place near Huliaipole, Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, and Myrne.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct attacks.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the invaders attacked twice, near the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groupings were detected.
As Ukrinform reported, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to March 5, 2026, amount to approximately 1,270,400 personnel.
