Russian army shells Kherson, leaving dead and injured

In Kherson, a 76-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were killed as a result of Russian shelling, and criminal proceedings have been launched.

According to Ukrinform, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office stated this on Telegram.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that resulted in deaths," the statement said.

According to the investigation, on March 4, 2026, at around 09:05, Russian servicemen shelled one of the intersections in Kherson.

As a result of the attack, a 76-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were killed. At the time of the shelling, they were outside.

According to the city military administration, they came under enemy fire in the Dniprovskyi district.

The Kherson City Military Administration and the Regional Military Administration also reported injuries as a result of the morning attacks in different parts of the city. In particular, at around 08:00, a Russian drone attacked a car in central Kherson. A 47-year-old man who was inside the vehicle was injured. He sought medical assistance and was diagnosed with a concussion and a blast injury.

At around 09:00, Russian forces struck the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. As a result of the attack, a 69-year-old man sustained a blast injury and a shrapnel wound to his leg. The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on March 3 in the Kherson region, a 39-year-old patrol officer, Andrii Antsybor, was killed in a Russian drone attack.
