Russian attacks on Kherson region kill one, injure eight

Russian forces attacked the Kherson region with artillery and drones on Tuesday, March 3, leaving one person dead and eight others injured.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into war crimes," the statement said.

Investigators said that on March 3, Russian troops shelled settlements across the region using artillery, including multiple launch rocket systems, as well as mortars and various types of drones.

As of 17:30, authorities confirmed that one person had been killed and eight others injured as a result of the Russian attacks.

At around 05:00, a police officer was killed when a strike drone hit near a service vehicle, while another officer was wounded.

All other attacks on civilians throughout the day were carried out using different types of drones. In Kherson, three women and three men were injured, while another woman was wounded in the village of Darivka.

Private homes, apartment buildings and vehicles were also damaged.

The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that a child injured in a Russian strike on Kherson's Korabelnyi District on March 1 required medical assistance. Doctors diagnosed a nine-year-old girl with blast trauma and an acute stress reaction. She received treatment and was prescribed outpatient care.
