Russia loses 790 troops, six air defense systems in Ukraine war over past day

Russia suffered approximately 1,268,520 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and March 3, 2026, with 790 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours. 

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 11,718 (+5) Russian tanks, 24,131 (+20) armored fighting vehicles, 37,842 (+47) artillery systems, 1,655 multiple rocket launchers, 1,319 (+6) anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 4,384 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 435 warplanes, 348 helicopters, 154,698 (+1,529) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 30 (+1) warships/cutters, 2 submarines, 80,992 (+235) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 4,075 (+1) pieces of special equipment.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on March 2, as of 22:00, there were 136 combat engagements on the front.
