General Staff confirms strikes on oil terminal and naval base in Novorossiysk

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed strikes on an oil terminal and a naval base in Russia’s Novorossiysk.

As reported by Ukrinform, the General Staff said this in a Facebook post.

On the night of March 2, as part of efforts to reduce Russia’s military and economic potential, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Sheskharis oil terminal and the Novorossiysk naval base in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. A large-scale fire was recorded at the site.

According to preliminary information, damage to the terminal’s oil-loading piers and to a radar station of an S-400 air defense system has been confirmed.

The extent of the damage and other results are being specified.

In addition, the destruction of four RVS-5000 storage tanks, damage to three RVS-2000 tanks, pipelines, and an underground reservoir were confirmed following a strike on February 28 on the Albashneft oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a long-range space communications center, several Russian air defense facilities, and concentrations of enemy personnel.
