Russian army lacks technology to prepare for offensive after Starlink shutdown, says Tregubov

The Russian invaders are facing logistical and management difficulties due to the shutdown of Starlink.

This was stated by Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the Joint Forces Task Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on television, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

According to Tregubov, the Russians are currently regrouping rather than attacking.

"There have been attempts to advance in the Lyman and Kupiansk sectors. There has been some enemy activity in the Vovchansk sector over the past day. The Russians are trying to attack Ukrainian logistics and regroup. This is obvious because, first, they are preparing for a larger offensive, and second, they themselves have encountered logistical and management problems when they lost Starlink," he said.

According to the spokesman, the enemy is unlikely to be able to compensate for the absence of Starlink technologically.

“They want to prepare some offensive, but they have to solve this problem — the problem of troop management. Based on this, they need some time to prepare. Although it is unlikely that they will fully compensate for this lack of technology,” Tregubov believes.

As reported, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said that the Ministry of Defense responded quickly to the problem of Russian drones using Starlink and, after agreements with Elon Musk and SpaceX, effectively cut off Russian troops' communications. In particular, the number of streams used by the Russians decreased 11 times.
