Russian commanders forcing wounded soldiers back to front – Ukrainian intel intercept
Ukrainian intelligence intercepted a conversation revealing the inhumane treatment of troops by Russian commanders.
The audio recording was released by the Defense Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
In the intercept, a Russian infantryman complains to his commander about severe injuries and frostbite that are already causing serious complications.
The soldier reports that he and his fellow servicemen have wounded hands, developing gangrene, and frostbite requiring medical dressing. Their commander does not care and insists the order must be carried out.
“This intercept once again demonstrates complete disregard for the life and health of Russian army personnel,” the intelligence service noted.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, intelligence had earlier intercepted a conversation in which a Russian commander used threats of physical violence to force his subordinates to go on the attack.
