General Staff showcases engineering barriers that cause significant enemy losses
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine presented engineering obstacles that are inflicting substantial losses on the enemy, including up to 30% of its equipment.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, publishing a video by the Support Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"At present, engineering barriers are being arranged in a continuous line of non-explosive obstacles, consisting of various types of wire barriers and anti-tank ditches. Their combination is the most effective in stopping the enemy’s advance and creates favorable conditions for engaging them with unmanned systems of the Defense Forces of Ukraine," the statement says.
To reinforce the barriers, engineering units use unmanned systems for remote mining both in front of the forward line and deep into the territory occupied by the enemy.
"This approach ensures significant losses, including up to 30% of the enemy’s advancing equipment, as well as approximately one thousand personnel per month," the General Staff noted.
As Ukrinform previously reported, the State Special Transport Service has been granted the authority to build and restore critically important defense infrastructure facilities without additional permit procedures, which is expected to accelerate the construction of fortifications.
