Two police officers injured in drone attack in Chernihiv region
In the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi in the Chernihiv region, two police officers were wounded, and civilian infrastructure, residents' homes, and a car were damaged as a result of Russian strikes.
According to Ukrinform, Viacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Facebook.
“Late last night, the enemy struck the center of Novhorod-Siverskyi with two Geran drones. The employment center, a store, a car, and nearby residential buildings were hit. Two police officers were injured,” Chaus said.
According to him, homes were damaged in the villages of the Gorodnia and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities.
There were also hits in the Koriukivka community. In particular, an FPV drone struck a village store. In another settlement, FPV drones attacked an energy facility. A car was damaged in one of the villages.
In the Mena community, Geran drones attacked a woodworking enterprise.
Chaus clarified that yesterday's explosion in Chernihiv at around 3:20 p.m. was a strike on the outskirts of the city. According to preliminary information, it was a missile.
The head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration noted that, in total, Russian troops attacked the region 50 times over the past day, with 84 explosions recorded.
As reported by Ukrinform, civilians were injured in two communities in the Chernihiv region as a result of an attack by Russian combat drones.
