Zelensky: Ukraine's Air Force has improved its performance in repelling Russian attacks
Ukraine's Air Force has improved its ability to repel Russian aerial attacks thanks to changes made within the system.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports.
"Over the past few weeks, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been working better – some things have been restructured within the system, particularly in organizing defense against such massive strikes," he said.
Zelensky said that today air defense forces managed to shoot down more than 30 Russian missiles and protect important energy facilities.
There were also good results in intercepting Shahed drones, Zelensky added.
He expressed gratitude to the minister of defense, the minister of energy, and everyone involved both at the central government level and in the regions to ensure that the air defense system works effectively.
The president also noted that he had signed a decree awarding state honors to Ukrainian service members who defend the country's skies.
