Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 95 out of 115 drones launched by the Russian army against Ukraine starting on the evening of February 24.
The Ukrainian Air Force announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
Beginning at 18:30 on Tuesday, February 24, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 115 strike UAVs, including Shahed-, Gerbera-, Italmas-type drones, and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Bryansk, Kursk (Russia), as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 60 of them were Shahed-type drones.
Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the aerial assault.
According to preliminary data as of 07:30 on Wednesday, February 25, air defenses shot down or suppressed 95 enemy drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
Hits by 18 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several drones still in Ukrainian airspace.
