Russian strike on community in Donetsk region leaves one civilian killed, two wounded
Russian forces carried out an FPV drone strike on the Kostiantynivka community in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, killing one civilian and injuring two others.
This was reported on Facebook by Serhii Horbunov, Head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.
“The terror against the civilian population of the Kostiantynivka community continues. The occupying forces of the Russian Federation carried out another strike using an FPV drone with a combat warhead… As a result of the attack, three local residents were injured. Unfortunately, the injuries sustained by one civilian were incompatible with life. Two others suffered wounds of varying severity,” Horbunov wrote.
He said the injured were promptly taken to a hospital in Kramatorsk.
Horbunov specified that the strike hit a section of the roadway on the Kostiantynivka–Druzhkivka road, adding that the attack “once again confirms that the enemy is deliberately targeting logistics routes and areas where civilians may be present.”
The head of the military administration emphasized that the security situation in the Kostiantynivka community remains extremely tense and once again urged residents to evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces wounded six residents of the Donetsk region over the past day, on February 23.
