Russia spreads fakes about alleged 'terror by Ukrainian soldiers' in Huliaipole – CCD

Kremlin propagandists are spreading false claims about terror allegedly carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia region.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

The publications circulate an emotional story allegedly from a local resident about the military "seizing" her house and supposedly threatening to "kill civilians and burn everything down in case of retreat."

As in other similar cases, no verified evidence of these claims is provided. The materials are based on anonymous testimony, without any photos or videos even of the woman who is said to be the source of the information.

The dissemination of such stories has a clear purpose – to intimidate the local population and create fear of the Ukrainian military. Through such fabrications, enemy propaganda is attempting to justify the criminal actions of the Russian army by presenting them as "liberation" from the "cruel" Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Center emphasized.

The systematic replication of such "testimonies" is part of Russia's information war against Ukraine.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Kremlin propagandists are circulating a staged video of a Russian serviceman who returned from captivity and allegedly talks about "atrocities by Ukrainian soldiers."
