Residential buildings were damaged. Documenting the consequences of the enemy attack is complicated by the difficult security situation, the prosecutor's office added.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that caused deaths (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the regional police, the deceased were mother and son.
Novoosynove is a village in the Kurylivka community, bordering the Kupiansk community. Forced evacuation of families with children was carried out from this area. The settlement is located on the right bank of the Oskil River. In November 2024, the Defense Council of the Kharkiv region decided that crossing the river would be allowed only for departure in order to prevent people from returning after evacuation.
As reported, in the Kupiansk district Russian forces attacked a volunteer's vehicle used for evacuating civilians. The man was injured.
