Pokrovka, Nykyforivka, Lypivka, and Platonivka remain under Ukrainian control – military
The villages of Nykyforivka, Lypivka, and Platonivka in the Donetsk region, as well as Pokrovka in the Sumy region, remain under the control of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, despite reports claiming that the enemy has advanced near these settlements.
This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by Major Hryhorii Shapoval, Spokesperson for the Operation Task Force East.
“Reports have recently claimed that the enemy advanced in Pokrovka, Nykyforivka, Lypivka, and near Platonivka. However, the settlements themselves remain under the control of the Defense Forces, regardless of any statements made by the Russians,” he said.
According to Shapoval, the enemy is operating in small groups, but Ukrainian troops are conducting search-and-strike operations and destroying hostile forces.
The spokesperson urged the public to rely only on official sources, noting that “quite often attempts are made to spread inaccurate information.”
“The situation in these settlements is challenging, but under control,” he emphasized.
According to DeepState, Russian forces have advanced in Pokrovka, Nykyforivka, Lypivka, and near Platonivka.
As Ukrinform previously reported, 130 combat engagements between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded along the front line over the past day.
